After learning about states of matter and the water cycle, year 4 have learnt about the global water crisis.

The children carried out various activities to support their learning about the causes; effects and solutions to the global water crisis.

Our focus task was to create an issues tree. The roots at the bottom are our causes; the branches the effects and the leaves the solutions!

Today we had our friends from Sowerby music visit us to perform a wonderful Jazz piece and teach us how to play jazz ourselves!

Year 4 have explored optical illusions as part of our big idea The Unexplained. We looked at the artist Gianni Asarcore and worked in his style to create our own versions of his art. 

This term we are focusing on sketching skills to build up to a piece of art based on the book -‘The Viewer’.
